Happy New Year!

I know, I haven't even posted about our Christmas yet- I am going to! I just have not taken the time to do it this week, but I have quite a few cute pictures that I am going to have to share of the girls. However, with today being New Year's Day, I could not skip posting about it! I have always loved new years. I love all of the endless possibilities of what the new year will hold. I have always made resolutions and usually I stick with them pretty well.

This was our first new years eve to do absolutely nothing. Jeremy has been working 12 hour days for weeks now and we have all been sick with sinus problems so we were just exhausted and really did not want to go out anywhere. We had pizza and stayed in watching movies until we all fell asleep around 10:30! Not too exciting but it was what we needed this year! Still, I did take the time to think over this last year and what 2012 will hold for us.

This  next year, we have a lot of changes coming for our family so it should be an interesting year. In March, we will be welcoming Blakely Kate to the family. I have already been fairly warned by friends about what it will be like becoming a family of 5 rather than a family of 4! Needless to say, Jeremy and I will be outnumbered! That's ok, we are very excited and can't wait to see what her personality will be like. Already Taylor and Allie are complete opposites so who knows what this little one will be like.

This year we will also be beginning our jump into becoming business owners. Wow- that seems weird even just typing it! This will definetly be a big change for us but it will be an exciting step in 2012.

Also starting next week we will be starting to attend the new church that my brother-in-law and sister, Drew and Stacy, are planting. The church won't actually launch until August 2012, but until then we will be meeting with the core team of the church and making preparations for the launch. It is a huge blessing to be a part of this and has been exciting seeing God work already through this. We are so excited to see what lies ahead for Fayette Baptist Church!

Lord willing this year we will be going with my family to Disney World again in September and Allie will be starting school this fall as a first grader! Also, I turn the dreaded 30 this year!!! I can't believe it and I truthfully have been dreading it. The other night, I was looking on Pinterest and I read a saying that really struck me. It said "Don't regret getting older, it is a privilege denied to many." When I thought about that statement I realized how true it really is and I decided not to complain anymore about getting older but to be thankful that I have another year to celebrate with my family and friends.

So many exciting things happening for our family this year- I can't wait to see what all this year will hold. Hoping it holds a move for our family into a new home but...we will see!

For myself, I am hoping this year holds a more simplistic year. We have a tendency to get so busy- and I am not a fan of busy. I enjoy NOT being busy! My goal this year is to stay focused on what is important and to let everything else go.

God bless and Happy New Year!!!
